Chances are, you will want to let your customers know the status of their order and provide them with details, as well as control somewhat the appearance of third-party solutions such as the UPS tracking center. This final section of the Shopping Cart area allows you to specify a few variables pertaining to this.
Send Confirmation Message to customer
and merchant
These first two options are fairly simple. Do you want to send
confirmations of order, shipping, and status to the customer and merchant...yes or no?
If yes, provide the merchant email address in the third field.
Use Customer UPS Tracking
If you select Yes for this option, your customers will automatically be
emailed with a link to their account so they can track their orders via UPS. If you
select Yes, you will need to customize a few additional things below this question such as
the basic appearance of the tracking results page at the UPS web site.
Custom Order Fields
If you would like to provide a comment box in the headers or footers of
your checkout pages to allow your customers to provide additional order instructions, time
for delivery, feedback, etc., you can create this fields with this option.
Simply type in the field names separated by hitting the ENTER key on your keyboard. You call these fields with their shortcuts at any point throughout your templates.
